		<description>I'd like to know why Istanbul did not fulfil your requirements. I think its output in the free OGG Theora format is far more better than GIF. I'm not 100% happy with it, but it works.</description>

		<description>Istanbul is very good too and it would be my choice for a GNU/Linux audience but I was concerned about:
1 - outdated OSes (they were shipped without an OGG player),
2 - non-Unix-like OSes (viewing OGG files could be a problem there)</description>
