Often I find myself thinking back to a very short video I saw on the Internet many months ago: it showed three or four young men quietly standing close to Nick Drake’s grave. They said nothing and you can hear only the twittering of the birds in the trees… they agreed to be filmed, standing quietly close to that grave, smiling at the camera… how could they have acted like that?
It’s disgusting.

how come?
mike: because standing by the grave, smiling at the camera (like saying “Hello World! See? I’m here!”). Those are gross manners and I think it’s so clear that an explanation is not needed.
hmmm, maybe – i probably need to see it – they werent urinating on it though – they were ‘quietly standing’ next to it smiling – maybe they felt at peace becuase they were so close to Nick – maybe they were high!? – so you expect them to stand there shaking their heads frowning…?
mike: perhaps they felt like they were “so close to Nick” (even though, as I wrote on another post

I think that Nick Drake is not there anymore… “we rise and we are everywhere”, you know). I don’t expect them to do anything special just… the video disappointed me a lot: anyway it’s not a sentence, it’s only a thought on a blog.
