    Carlo,

I agree with you: “Azzurro” is one of the best Italian songs of all times.

    Hello, please, help me!

I have heard this Azzurro song a few hours ago and I was fascinated by it – now I am playing it over and over again. I wanted to understand the lyrics, so I first used the google translation tool and then also found your translation. My problem is, that neither English is my native language and I still don’t get one part of the refrain:

“mi accorgo di non avere piu risorse senza di te”.

The google translation: “I realize that they have more resources without you” made no sense to me :-)

Your translation: “I realize that I have no more resources without you” is a bit more clear, but still does not help me to fully understand it :-) Apparently my English is too simple to resolve it. Basically I have problem with the “resources” word, it is so formal word for such a tender song…

Anyways, does it mean that he can’t find anything worth besides her (resource ~ source)? Or does it mean that he can’t find any place to hide without her (resource ~ sanctuary)? Or could it possibly mean that he can’t find a way out of all this long afternoon boredom without her (resource ~ way out)?

This song really drives me mad, should go to bed two hours after midnight :-) If you read this, please clarify the “resources” issue for me – thank you very much.
